Hello everyone! I'm Ted Thao, a second-generation Asian American therapist. I foster authenticity and well-being in our sessions. I believe that people can experience two opposing emotions and those emotions can hold value and truth. It's honoring, understanding, and accepting these emotions and how they can benefit our lives or even cause us to live in constant misery.

"Without the bad, how can we know the good. So, live in the good and honor the bad."

Born and raised in the Hmong culture, I understand the power of diverse stories and the varied experiences that shape our lives. As a therapist, I create a safe and inclusive space for everyone by weaving our connections together regardless of our background, to embark on a transformative journey towards embracing our authentic selves.

I have experience working with first- and second-generation immigrants and refugees, veterans, first responders, and individuals struggling with substance abuse, perfectionism, and ADHD. Through these communities, I’ve treated various challenges, including but not limited to self-esteem issues, anxiety, depression, identity struggles, PTSD, complex trauma, substance abuse, and grief.

Join me on this empowering journey of self-discovery. Let's create a space where you can explore, reflect, and ultimately, embrace the authentic self that resides within you. Your story matters, and I am here to help by standing alongside you with compassion, understanding, and the transformative power of connection.

Let's take the first step together.
